10 Movies To Watch With Your Love
Some of these may be considered untraditional movies about love, but this year they make up my top ten movies to watch with the one you love. Who needs a fancy dinner out, curl up on the couch with a little popcorn and maybe one of these movies?
10) Wall – E
Wall-e and Eva were such a quirky little futuristic love story. It is so sweet and can be enjoyed with the whole family.
This one is not so family friendly, but my gosh you’ll fall in love with Daniel Radcliff as a tortured soul. Definitely different than the traditional movie about love, that is maybe part of the appeal.
8) Harold and Maude
Not all love needs to be sexual or even traditionally romantic by nature. Check this one out.
7) Moonrise Kingdom
Directed by Wes Anderson, his unique style captures this coming of age tale. It’s an almost whimsical little love store, and I think it will be in my top ten for a long time.
Of all the classic films, this is an all time favorite. My mother first introduced me to it as it was one of her all time favorite films. I’m pretty sure it makes most top lists of romantic movies.
5) When Harry Met Sally
This might be the most cliché romantic film on the list, but I make no apologies about it. It is perfect if you watch Casablanca right before this one, because it is referenced often. Many films reference the famous restaurant scene in this film. Spoiler Alert, “I’ll have what she’s having.”
I am not ashamed to say that I cried at this movie. That is all.
3) Ruby Sparks
I was pleasantly surprised by this film, was so charming and interesting. I fell in love with Zoe Kazan, and this movie.
2) Edward Scissorhands
Is there anyone who did not fall in love with Johnny Depp as Edward? I am sure there are, but I can’t imagine it.
1) Let the Right One In
Some would call this a horror film, but this Swedish film is one of my favorite love stories ever.
What is your favorite love story?
